Nicholas put down his quill and reached over his desk, quickly shutting the window that had blown open. A sudden gust of wind made it bulge inward before leaving. Sighing, the Fourth Year stuffed his quill and parchment into his lap bag. He couldnt study here, not with the wind blowing in as it was. It was too distracting.
His head bowed down in thought, the boy walked out of the room and headed down the corridor, his pathway lit by torchs centered along the passagway. His blue-lined robes fluttered behind him as he sauntered past a classroom, the students piling out. With ease, he quickly side stepped a First Year running through the doorway. The boy stopped quickly, looking up at the Ravenclaw Student. With nothing other than an encouraging smile, Nicholas left the embarrassed boy behind and continued on.
Maybe the library would be quieter, it was always empty right after classes were let out anyways. He ran a hand through his thick sandy blond hair with a grin. Besides, he thought, who else but a ravenclaw would be studying right after classes and before dinnner? And a crazy Ravenclaw, at that. He hummed a little tune as he walked to the library, purpose giving him a new spring in his step.
When he entered the library, his guess had proved correct. No one was in view but him. With an amused grin, Nicholas sat down at a table nearest a window, a dark green table with quill designs. He took out his quill and parchment and started to write once more, not noticing anything around him.

"Now don't I catch you ever pulling that stunt again!" Sienna warned the kid standing before her. The kid - who didn't appear much older than a third year - had been convinced that he would be able to somehow obtain the password to the Headmaster's office if he hexed the first person to pass by. Too bad for him, that person had ended up being none other than Sienna, who had officially been named Head Girl that girl. "5 points from Hufflepuff. Now run along before I decided something worst." The kid didn't need to be told twice. He sprinted away from her, fear etched on his face.
Sienna sighed. With all the commotion the kid had caused, she had forgotten all about having promised the librarian to help her for a small while during her free period. She may be in Slytherin, but that didn't mean that she couldn't help anyone out. If she wanted to help the librarian before going to eat dinner, she'd have to hurry up, something she didn't really like doing too much.
She walked at a rather fast pace toward the Hogwarts library, avoiding collision with other students who were being let out. The seventh years that had just finished a class had been in either Divination or Muggle Studies, both floors above in the castle. At least that way, none of her friends would be able to drag her away from the library, telling her it was a bad idea.
Finally, she arrived at the library. She looked around quickly, trying to spot the librarian, but with no luck. The only person in the library was a boy, definitely not a seventh year, and a Ravenclaw by the looks of it. Sienna shrugged. She couldn't be mean to everyone at Hogwarts. "Hey, have you seen the librarian around here somewhere?" she asked him as she approached the table he was sitting at.

Nicholas barely noticed the new arrival in the library until he heard her speak. He had been working on one of his Muggle Studdies questions, not a very hard one, and he was just in the middle of explaining the answer when she spoke. So aborsed in his studies, Nicholas jumped slightly in surprise, his quill trailing a trail of black ink across the parchment. He looked at the trail a moment before sighing and digging another parchment out from inside his bag.
He glanced at the newcomer and registered the green robes and remembered the girl as a quidditch player on the Slytherin team. He had watched their last match against Hufflepuff, and was impress at their teamwork and abilities. But he hoped they didnt beat the Ravenclaw team. With a smile, he considered her question. The librarian? Actually, he hadnt noticed anyone in the library when he came in. But then again, he was too absorbed in his own thoughts to notice anything. He grinned and gave her an apologetic smile. "Sorry, I can never remember seeing anyone at any time... And I havent seen the Librarian in a while. Maybe she took an early lunch?" He suggested with a grin. He might be thoughtless, but he had manners.
He barely cared about what House she was in, it didnt matter to him. If she had wanted to curse or hex him she wouldve already done it. He gestured to the seat across from him. "Want to sit and wait for her to reappear?" He slid his stuff off and chair to make room for her if she choose to sit with him. If she refused, then Nicholas would understand. It would, after all, probably wreck her Slytherin record if she was seen talking civialy to a younger student, for she looked about six or seventh year. And talking to a Ravenclaw at that.

Sienna watched as the boy jumped ever so slightly in shock, making a mess of his parchement. A spell her Charms Professor had taught her two years back came to mind. He had said it wiped clean any ink, blood, or dirt stains that might not be able to be cleaned off. Good thing too. It had come in really handy at times. "No need for a new parchement. It wouldn't be too fair if you had to restart your work because I startled you." she said, pulling the parchement toward her. She took out her wand and pointed it toward the paper. "Tergeo" she mumbled softly. When she looked at the paper again, she stain was gone, and in it's place was what the boy had written.
"Sorry, I can never remember seeing anyone at any time... And I havent seen the Librarian in a while. Maybe she took an early lunch?"
Sienna smiled slightly. The librarian had always been one to take an early lunch or break. Maybe that was why she had asked Sienna to come and help her, that way she wouldn't get in trouble for leaving the library unattented. It would teach her right if she were to get caught out of the library with no one checking who came in and out. "You don't have to apologize. Unless you somehow managed to set her hair on fire without her noticing for once you have nothing to do with her not being here." Sienna replied with a small laugh. She remembered all those times in the past years where she had tried to burn the librarian's hair. Too bad the librarian had paid extra attention whenever she entered the library.
She shrugged slightly. "Sure, why not. She can't be out forever anyways, right?" she said as seh sat down. No Slytherins she knew would ever skip lunch to go to the library, so her reputation was probably pretty safe. "So why are you here instead of getting ready for lunch like everyone else?" she asked the boy. It was probably a stupid question, considering that he was writing on parchement, most likely doing homework

Nicholas laughed lightly as she sat. "Oh, I'm only studying. My Tranfiguration teacher told us to study, so I figured that getting a head start on it would be a swell move." He grinned and ran a hand through his hair. Of course, he failed to mention that the assignment itself wouldnt be due in until next week, but then he would just seem crazy. Although he wasnt sure if he was, really.
He glanced down at his parchment and then looked back up at her. "Oh, and thanks, by the way. Sometimes Im just too absorbed into my studies that I forget about magic. Which is odd, granted, but I suppose thats just my absentmindedness talking."
He thought about her comment about the librarians hair, and his brow furrowed. "Set it on fire? I'd lose points for that, but it's not such a bad idea." He thought about it and then grinned at the girl. "Sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. Im Nicholas Black, by the way. And you are...?" He held out his hand.
