Megan O'Brien
Basics
Full Name: Megan O'Brien
Age: 17
Year: 7th
House: Slytherih
Affilliation: Dark, obviously.
Wand: 12 and 1/2 inches Mahogany and Runespoor Fang core
Personality/Appearance
Appearance:
Megan has long dark brown hair, that sometimes looks black. She has never, and never will, dyed it, because she feels that it is her best physical feature, other than her eyes. She was born with white eyes, as more of a birth defect than a Metamorphagi talent. Her eyes were white at first, but now change colors with her mood. Very few people know what each color means. Megan's body is one of a typical female. She keeps herself fit with running, as that's her favorite thing to do.
She does have scars on various parts of her body, but they are faded. The most visible is the one on her neck, though that's not visible without a very close look. She's usually wearing something that she's comfortable in, but can sometimes be spotted wearing one of her older brother's sweatshirts or clothes. Megan carries herself confidently, even if she isn't at that point. She considers herself a role model for her younger brother, and would never do anything that would make him think otherwise.

Dresses/Skirts (And it doesn't really help that the Hogwarts uniform for girls is a skirt.)
The vampire that killed her brother
Strengths:
Running-Megan is pretty quick, and can beat just about everybody in any running races.
Wandwork-Her wandwork, however, seems to be the thing that stands out the most.
Intelligence-She's very intelligent, and is a quick thinker. Megan had been considered for Ravenclaw, before being put into Slytherin. It's a talent she prefers to hide, in fear of becoming called a nerd or something of that sort.
Arithmancy-Arithmancy also seems to be one of her strengths. Numbers seem to be something that her brain can process pretty easily, but not many people know that.
Weakness:
Impatience-Megan gets impatient pretty easily and doesn't have much of an attention span, so she tends to not pay attention in double classes.
Writing- She is absolutely terrible at writing. Megan couldn't write a ten page essay if her life depended on it.
Taking her time-Megan is the type of person who likes to go through things pretty quickly, so when told to take her time, she has a pretty hard time.
Temper- Megan has a pretty nasty temper, but she has been known to control it from time to time.
Seeing a friend cry-She absolutely hates it when she sees one of her closest friends crying, and would do just about anything to make them stop. It's different if it's an enemy, but a friend is someone she would die for.
Personality:
She has a very mixed personality. If you get on Megan's bad side, she's got diabolical ways to get revenge. Growing up with an older brother has taught her how to hold her own if she ever gets in a fight. Most of the time, Megan keeps to herself but is always up for anything. She seems to get impatient quite easily, and doesn't have much of an attention span. Megan is independent, and likes to do things by herself, without any help. She often gets frustrated when she has to ask for help, because then she feels useless.
Though she could be popular and loved, Megan tends to hide in her friends' shadows-letting them get all the attention. She seems to be a quiet sort of person, but that changes completely once you get to know her. Megan can be outgoing, but not many people expect that. Her flirty behavior seems to help her deal with her problems, whatever they may be. Megan does not judge 'books by their covers,' like many people do. She waits until she can find the real personality in people, before judging them.
Megan doesn't really get in many fights, unless it's to defend her or one of her friends' honor. She's very loyal, and will do just about anything for her friends. Megan's trustworthy, and will never betray a friend's trust. But one thing she hates is when people betray her. She can't stand being ignored, and will go to any means to be un-ignored. However, seeing one of her friends cry completely changes Megan. She becomes a bit kinder, but often snaps out with the cruelest of comments and worst of times.

History
History:
Megan was born a 'mistake,' when her parents were barely sixteen. As the second mistake in their lives, her parents never showed that they cared for her, and probably never did. Her mother decided she couldn't handle living with her mistakes anymore, so she left when Megan was thirteen. Over and over, her father blamed her and told her that it was her fault her parents were disowned, her fault that her mother left, and her fault that her brother died. Megan had a very hard time getting over all of that, but she did. Eventually.
She started showing signs of magic at around age five, when she turned her older brother's hair bright pink. He never got over that, and probably would still hold it against her to this day. Anyways, Megan was delighted when she was accepted to Hogwarts, and was glad join her brother there. She wasn't that happy, however, when she found out that her best friend would be going to Durmstrang. Luke helped his sister out, of course, but he didn't give up an opportunity to get his little sister in trouble. He soon became the Ravenclaw Prefect, followed by Head Boy. Unfortunately for Megan, this meant that she had to be very careful around him. No more skipping class just because she felt like it. She started dating Byron Mark Curtis in her fifth year, and they've been happy ever since.
Her brother was one of the few that actually cared for her, but then he was murdered by a vampire, unfortunately, when Megan was in her fourth year. She had witnessed his death, but her younger brother didn't, thankfully. Because of this, Megan has attempted to kill herself plenty of times with guilt, yet has failed each attempt. If you look closely at her neck, you can still see the scars.
Megan has more scars, all over her body. As a child, she was abused by her father with the Cruciatus Curse, a knife, and plenty other ways. The pain never seemed to end for her, but she could hide it. Megan never told anyone, which doesn't really matter anyways since it was all over the papers in the summer before her fifth year. Everybody knows everything now, but she seems to have gotten over it. Her father currently is in Azkaban, and her younger brother is in the care of a trusted friend. Megan stays at the Leaky Cauldron over the summer and during holidays, when she's not at Hogwarts.

It was the first full day back, and definitely not a good one. Megan was going to spend her first year at Hogwarts without her brother, which had caused Luke to become very horrified. She had been sent an enormous number of letters, each one demanding that she write to him each and every day. As if she'd ever do that. In fact, the Slytherin often wondered how the hell her brother had been put in Ravenclaw, in his years at Hogwarts. He didn't seem to be the smartest one in the group, but whatever. Now he cared? After their father was in jail?
Megan had already decided that she was going to go running the first day at Hogwarts, so she pulled off her robes and put on some white shorts and a blue tank top. The Slytherin common room was in the dungeons, so there weren't exactly windows for them to see the weather outside. And she was going to be very disappointed when she got outside.
There were first years running around in the common room, trying to figure out what to do next. Megan had half a mind to hex them, but decided she'd be nice. Just that one time. They were so freaking annoying, and she couldn't believe that was how she had been earlier. She realized she had forgotten her wand, so she ran back to her dorm to get it. Unfortunately, there wasn't a place for her to keep it, considering she didn't have sleeves, and the shorts didn't have pockets. It was twelve-inches long, and would never fit inside her shorts. Megan sighed and decided that she had no choice but to keep it in one spot.
After storing her wand, the Slytherin walked out of the common room. She was positive that there was nothing she had forgotten, though she lacked a coat. The cold never bothered her, so she didn't think to bring one. Megan exited the castle, hoping no one would be out there. The scars on her arms and legs were faded, but visible in the clothes that she was wearing. But the weather proved that it didn't matter who was out there. It was raining heavily.
The Slytherin walked carefullly across the grounds, hoping that she wouldn't slip and fall. If it was raining, then perhaps a swim was better than running. Megan froze in her tracks when she saw someone else there, a boy who seemed to be around her age. Maybe a year younger or older. She quietly tiptoed her way behind a tree so she could see what he would do. Nothing happened, except that he tripped over nothing in particular. Megan couldn't see the expression on his face, but was positive that it would probably be confused. She waited until he was looking the other direction, before walking silently behind him.
"Having fun?" the Slytherin asked, in a very good imitation of the headmistress. A smirk appeared on her lips when he saw who it actually was, but it was soon wiped when she saw his eyes. His eyes were absolutely amazing. They were hypnotizing, as she had never seen anything like it before. Megan soon regained control of herself and forced herself to look away from his eyes, settling on a spot directly above them. "A little clumsy, aren't you?" she asked innocently.
