Megan was in her dormitory, trying to get some sleep. She wasn't able to, because every time she closed her eyes, she was brought back to memories of her father abusing her. The physical scars didn't hurt as much as the emotional scars did. Megan had these dreams just about every night, and had no way to stop them.
She sat up in her bed and looked around, finally giving up. Gia was still sleeping, as were the rest of her roommates. But why wouldn't they be? It was one in the morning, and nobody was up at this time. Her heart pounding in her chest, Megan tried to figure out how she could cure her problem. There was only one answer. Byron.
Byron was her best friend out of the males, and had always been there for her. He was also her favorite out of the inseparable Slytherin trio. Scorpius had always been a jerk to her, and Albus was too much of a nerd. Either way, Byron always knew how to comfort her in the worst of situations.
She got off of her bed and walked out of the dormitory quietly, so she wouldn't wake anyone up. Megan was wearing a tank top and boxer shorts, which was what she always wore to bed. Closing the door, she headed toward the boys' dormitories, a certain one in particular.
Entering Byron's dormitory, Megan tiptoed her way across the room to his bed. She crawled in his bed quietly, noting that he was sleeping with jeans and no shirt, like he always did. Slipping under the covers with him, Megan rested her head on his bare chest. His heartbeat was calming her down, and it was slowly lulling her to sleep.

Byron was asleep. He was dreaming his favorite dream. He was dreaming about him and his brother kicking some of their enemies butts. Those were the simple times. He had grown tougher, or more Slytherin like. He had always been a Slytherin, but once the Order came into his life. It just made things worse. He heard the Boys dormitory door open. He figured it was some guy, mainly Scorpius, getting back from some date which led to a fling.
He felt none other than Megan. Megan... his best mate from first year. He knew it was her without opening his eyes. The only girl who had guts around here. He put an arm around her and breathed for only her to hear. "What's wrong?" He knew she could get in serious trouble being in here, but knew that she had guts. He liked her for that. He was a bit protective of her. It seemed that she knew the real him that barely anyone knew.

Megan was comforted with Byron's arm around her, but scowled a bit when he asked her a question. She came into his room like this every other day, and he never seemed to mind then. Why the hell should he care now? Megan mumbled something about sleeping and buried her face in his chest, not wanting to say anything more on the subject. But then she decided that wasn't fair.
After a long silence, Megan whispered, "My dad." She knew that he would know what she meant. Everybody knew what she had gone through, as it had been in the Daily Prophet. There had been a whole trial with her father, and it had been completely publicized. Even her brother's death was publicized.
Luke was her older brother, and a vampire had murdered him. Unfortunately, Megan watched the event take place, and hadn't done a single thing. Of course, she probably would have been dead if she had, but it didn't stop her from feeling guilty.

Byron said, "It's ok." He rubbed her shoulder. He wanted her to feel better. He knew what it was like with no family. He had no family. His brother was in Azkaban. Parents both dead. He hated the feeling of complete aloneness. He knew that she understood him like he understood her.
He knew the people in the Ministry made everything public. In the Daily Prophet was his parents deaths and his brother's imprisonment. It was a bit sad that they didn't have anything better to do. He felt her head on his chest. He was a bit overprotective of her since she was the only one who understood him. He didn't really make it known about his overprotectiveness, but would if the time presented itself.
He was an exact image of his brother. Him and his brother didn't look much like just one parent. They looked like both, but it didn't matter. He wasn't ever close to his mother, but was to his father. His father was like him a Slytherin and a death eater. So was his brother, maybe that was why he got sent to Azkaban. He didn't know and really didn't care. He knew his brother was innocent and Harry did that to ruin his life. Or so he thought.

Megan mumbled something else and closed her eyes, even though she knew that he wouldn't know what she said. It didn't matter. He understood, and that was all that mattered. Of course, he was the only person who saw her in a state like that. Megan was usually in a "The world revolves around me" sort of attitude that all Slytherins had.
After some time, she took his arm off of her back and put it around her waist, where the bottom of her tank top and the top of her boxer shorts met. It wasn't a romantic gesture or anything of the sort, just something that would make her feel more comfortable. And make it easier for her to bring her face to his neck. Megan liked the closeness she and Byron had, as they could be in bed together and not have it lead to other actions.
She opened her eyes and removed her head from his chest sleepily, and ran her fingers up his chest until her arms were around his neck. Her face was now at his neck, and she noted that his neck was smooth and unscarred. Megan had a very large scar on her neck, from when she had attempted suicide a year ago. Sure, it was faded, but it was still there. Each and every day, it reminded her of her life, and brought back memories she didn't want to remember.

Byron opened his eyes. He looked up at the ceiling til the adjusted to the pitch dark room. The only light was the moon light. It was the best thing in the world to him. The moon. He had many reasons behind it, but didn't feel like thinking about it. He was far too preoccupied to even take a second glance.
He felt his hand be moved around her waist. He didn't mind. They were best friends though he wasn't sure if they would always be like that. He let her do as she pleased. She had a rough life like himself. He would never want to make it any rougher unless forced by Exanthia, but doubted that would ever come to past. He cared about Megan more so then the rest of the trio or so he thought. He had a great fondness of her that they couldn't comprehend.
He felt her rub her fingers up his chest. He then gave her a bit of a smile. He muttered for only her to hear, "You staying awake?" He didn't care if they did or not. He had already had his good five hours of sleep. He could live off five hours of sleep and it not bother him a bit. It was just the way he had grew up. He was a bit glad about that habbit, but then again that means no sleeping late for him.

Byron's body heat and her own was making it very warm under the blankets. Megan, however, didn't really like heat. She preferred it when it was very cold, or when it was very warm. Nothing in between. So, it was natural for her to get closer to the other Slytherin, if that was even possible.
"I'm cold." Megan complained quietly, making sure only he could hear. Byron was kind of like her older brother, best friend, and crush and mixed together. He would never know that, though, because she wouldn't want to ruin their relationship.
She couldn't fall asleep, though, no matter what she did. Megan opened her eyes at the sound of Byron's sweet voice, and looked in his eyes. They were mesmerizing, and she wondered how the hell she had been able to resist him for so long. After a moment, Megan answered quietly, "I can't sleep." She was tired, yet completely restless.

Byron let her get closer. He slept with girls, but not like Megan. It was just the sibling feel of the two. He usually would get turned on by all the stuff his mate was doing, but this was different. He didn't think she had romantic feelings towards him, though he had them for her. They were different then some flings and knew he had to handle his feelings for Megan very gently and unknown. He knew that testing loyalty was not rare among death eaters. He didn't want to be tested not with her involved as in saying putting her in danger.
He had the same feeling for Scorpius though a more brotherly feel. He couldn't do what he did to Albus to Scorpius. It was just something that could not be done. He would have to be disloyal and not do it. Die for him, either way was better than betraying Scorpius. Scorpius was the tougher of the two of 'em. Or so he thought. He knew they were both very much alike which was probably why they could do it to Albus, but it would be much harder to do to each other.
He said, "You can get closer if you like. We usually like it colder in here." He only made it barely audible for Megan to hear. He also muttered, "It's ok. Want to go down to the common room and talk?" He knew they were all supposed to be in bed, but most of the time they didn't mind as much if they stayed in their Common rooms. Just as long as they weren't roaming the halls. He would do either for her, but figured she would take the common room. He wasn't that tired. He was a bit odd not to be tired at this hour, but then again he was never normal.

Megan nodded and closed her eyes again, tangling her bare legs with his covered ones. She placed her head on his bare chest again, but didn't remove her arms from around his neck. But then Byron asked her another question. "I don't care." Megan muttered, scowling at him for saying something else.
She honestly didn't care, but she would fall asleep in the common room then. Still, it was better than having Scorpius or Albus waking up and finding her in their dormitory. Megan bit her lip and opened her eyes, waiting for what he would say next.
But that was when her impatience kicked in, so she decided to make her move. Megan's lips trailed up Byron's neck and onto his face, until they reached his lips. It was a light kiss, nothing more. He could take it as a small friendship kiss, or he could take it as an expression of Megan's feelings for him. Either way, she had nothing to lose.

Byron was looking at her and said, "Whatever you want. I'm alright, unless you want to go talk. Then we best go down there." He knew how to not get caught at things. He was a bit sly, but what Slytherin wasn't? It was their natural beings to be sly. Unless you were Albus, then you weren't sly. He seemed more of a Gryffindor, but why was he placed in Slytherin. He wondered if Albus had more to him then he was letting on, but then again stories say that even his father was considered Slytherin material.
He knew she said she didn't care, but he didn't mind himself. He never really showed how he felt about things much. Unless towards Megan, but he didn't really have the time to explain his mixed feelings for her and sorting them all out. Her clinging to him most nights didn't help him sorting them either. He wondered what people would think of them sleeping together without even doing anything. He really didn't care, but then again some people thought it was horrible to do so. Oh well, they probably thought he deserved Azkaban life sentence for all he's done in bed.
He felt her lips with his. He never took kisses as friendship kinds. He took it as a bit more. He kissed her back. He wondered what she thought about him. It must be good, eh? It had to be or she wouldn't have kissed him, right? Those questions kept running through his mind. Though, he never acted this was when a girl kissed him. Maybe, he had never had true feelings for the others. Maybe, he cared about her.. Truely enough to drop flirting all together. He didn't know. He waited for her to respond to his kiss to know for sure.

Megan made a face as he said he didn't care. Being undecisive herself, she hated it when other people weren't able to decide on things. "You pick." she mumbled, looking into his brilliant eyes. Byron's eyes were the best physical feature he had, though she was one of the few that hadn't exactly experienced him physically.
Megan felt him kissing her back, though she wasn't sure if 'them' was such a good idea or not. Between best friends, it either worked out all the way, or it didn't and they never spoke to each other again. She would have been pleased with the first, but wasn't sure if she wanted to take a risk with the latter.
That didn't stop Megan from taking advantage of what was happening. It wasn't every day that the hottest guy in school was kissing you....in bed. She kissed him back hungrily, with such ferocity that even she didn't know what had gotten into her. Perhaps it was the fact that Megan had resisted him for so long.
She pressed her body against his, and would have wrapped her arms around his neck if they had not already been there. Megan certainly hoped that this wasn't going to be another one of her flings, or even one of Byron's. He was unpredictable, which is the reason why she liked him so much.

Byron was not the average kid most people would say. He was street smart in the hood, but knows how to act like a Slytherin easily at Hogwarts. It was who he was and that made it all the more easier. He felt her kiss, but this wasn't the average kiss. This was with Megan and not only that rumor had it she was a great kisser. Well he had to admit out of all the girls he had kissed and had flings with.
He knew the risk he was taking. It was serious. Megan was his best mate or his best girl mate. His best guy mate would definately be Scorpius, no questions asked. He said, "Er.. I like it right here." He didn't want to ruin the mood. It was sudden and very unexpected. He would have never thought Megan had these feelings towards him. He had feelings towards her and would drop every girl for her. He felt her arms around his kneck and was getting pleased.
He felt her body pressed against his. He kissed her kneck a bit. He wanted her for so long, and now having her in his bed was the best thing ever in his book, or night, whatever. His hands were on her back, but let them slide down a bit more, pressing her all the more closer if that was even possible. He let his lips and tongue reach back to her lips. He had his eyes closed, feeling her body on his bare chest made him feel better than ever. He opened them at the end wondering how she would take this.
He gave her a look, asking permission before doing so since he wanted to take her very delicately, 'Should we go further?' He cared about Megan and knew her very well. Though, never had a physical relationship with her or romantic one at that. He wanted to for so long though, but never ran after her. He didn't like rejection and figured she would reject him. He thought she might would come to him. He would give her anything she wanted and meant that body and all. For he actually, truely cared for someone and stuff such as having true feelings for someone made him want to give them everything. Make them truely happy.

Random Picture Megan smiled as he said he wanted to stay right there, as that was exactly what she wanted to do at that moment. Sure, she had been undecisive a few seconds ago, but that was the type of person she was. Megan could make a decision, and then change it seconds later. She let him do whatever he wanted, for the time being. His hand was now around her waist again, as it had travelled down from her back. Megan let her tongue play with hers, noting that he was a very good kisser. She wasn't like him, though. Not a sl*t person. She had a couple flings, but was very picky when she chose someone to be in a serious relationship with. But then Byron asked her if she wanted to all the way. That was a very bad move on his part. Exactly who did he think she was? A sl*t? Or just another one of his flings? Of course, she would have been happy with ripping each other's clothes off and doing it right there and then, but this was different. Megan couldn't believe he'd do something like that to her, one of his best friends. That was it. She was going to leave. "Is that what you think of me? Someone who sleeps with someone after their first kiss? A sl*t? I thought you knew me better." Megan whispered to him, pulling away from him. She let go of his neck and pushed his arm off of her, her eyes turning bright orange. She wasn't sure whether to be sad or angry. Megan sat up and crossed her arms, debating whether to leave or not. Perhaps he'd have an explanation.

Byron felt her and loved it. He was rested his head against hers and a grin across his face. He cared about her more than the rest. He knew that as a fact. He got his head off hers and kept kissing her. He had waited so long for this to happen. Though, Scorpius would never believe it. He was the guy who could get anyone and so was Scorpius. He could have a fling with anyone and they would enjoy it as well as himself. He didn't force them, they just all wanted to.
He looked at Megan. How cute she looked. She was the best looking girl he had ever seen. He had her in his arms and wanted to always. He didn't know why all these feelings rushed to him like this. They were best mates. It was just not him to have these feelings flying at him like this.
He got taken back at her reaction. He heard her. Of course he didn't think that. He thought nothing like that. He took it as she wanted that to happen. He wispered, "Meg, no. It's not like that. I thought that was what you wanted. I.." He hesitated a bit. "Meg, I like you more than the other girls. I just wanted you to be happy." He felt like an idiot. A Slytherin didn't say such things. Or so he thought. "I mean, I don't think your that at all. I would never think that."
He hoped she took his excuse because that was the truth. He said, "I do know you. I care about you, Meg." He looked at her wanting her to believe him. He wanted her more than anything. He messed up by thinking what he did. He should have just let her choose how far they went. He tried to be normal and give no emotions, but he couldn't to Megan. He truely cared about her.

Megan couldn't help feeling a bit guilty at what she was doing to Byron. After all, it wasn't completely his fault. But that didn't mean that she was going to give in so easily. It was a pathetic excuse, and it just insulted her even more. I mean, come on, who wanted to date someone who thought that sex was the only part of a relationship?
”You thought I’d want it?” Megan asked him quietly, her eyes turning red. ”Are you even capable of having a serious relationship with someone? Sex isn‘t the only thing that girls want, Curtis.” Tears were in her eyes at that point. The simplest words could hurt her, especially if it was someone she thought a friend.
"Have fun with your sl*tty girlfriends. Every girl who likes Byron Curtis wants to sleep with him." Megan muttered sarcastically, under breath. She could feel her heart breaking inside her chest, and his excuses made it worse. "I hope one of them comes along and breaks your heart." Megan turned away from him and got off the bed, walking out of the boys' dormitory. She went into the dim-lit common room and sat on one of the couches, and stared at the small fire.
